'Tis The Season!

The month of December flew by so fast! Hard to believe it's now Dec 26th and Christmas Day has come and gone. December was packed full of photo shoots, photographing events and taking bookings for 2012. The new year is just a few days away and I am very excited for what it has in store for me. I will be making a few changes with my business as far as prices and my website will be changing a bit.

As the end of the year approaches, I look back and think, "WOW!! So many wonderful people I've photographed this year" This year was so busy for me. I started working with Lux. Rebecca and the girls are wonderful, strong women to work with. I am the official photographer for The Moncton Miracles. I've photographed so many wonderful weddings and worked with so many wonderful families. The horse shows are always fun to shoot. Photographing armature and pro MMA and Boxing fights allows me to capture many fights from start to finish as they make their way to title belts. Had lots of chances to work freelance for The Times and Transcript and HERE Magazine. This was my second year photographing the CFL game that was here in September. I was hired to photograph the Olympic Hall of Fame Tour when they were here. AMAZING event and athletes to work with. I worked with several charity groups including "The Heart Truth" fashion show and the Relay for Life. Being on the sidelines with the Moncton Mustangs for the 5th year as their photographer is always a blast! I am truly blessed and grateful for every photo I took this year.

I would like to thank everyone who stood behind me and supported me this year! My family, my friends and my clients. With out each of you I would not be able to do the job that I love!

I will be opening again for shoots on Jan 9th 2012. Over the holidays, I'm taking a little break, enjoying my family and friends. My 2012 schedule is filling up fast with Basketball, Football, Events and Weddings. I am very excited for what the new year has in store for me.

2011 Moncton Ladies Hoop Classic

I am very pleased that I was asked again this year to attend the Moncton Ladies Hoop Classic. 4 days of non stop high school ladies basketball. 4 teams from Moncton and 4 teams from Nova Scotia. The games were excellent, the girls played every game right to the last buzzer!

ACTMA 2011

ACTMA was a 2 day jam pack weekend with AMAZING models, scouts, and agents! Facade did a great job hosting this years event at the Crowne Plaza in Moncton. Everyone learned something new about the modeling world, made new friends, hung out with old friends and had the chance to learn from the best of the best in the business Michelle Miller (Director of Scouting Canada Elite World), Celia Sears (Milan based Fashion Creative & Scout), and Nancy and Gary Hill (Atlantic Talent).

All the models and Actors were a pleasure to work with. I love working with new people.

Ghosts, zombies, nurses and cheerleaders mingled in a melting pot of Halloween shenanigans at Casino NB's spooktacular Halloween bash on Oct. 29. Partiers danced in over 25,000 square feet of space to the tunes of Adam Analog and The Awesome Impostors. Awards for funniest costume went to a guy dressed as a mammogram testing machine, and best overall costume went to a man dressed like a Transformer.

Eric Roy of St-Basile, left, battles it out with Moncton's Jonah Arbuckle, defeating him in the second round of the co-main event of a professional boxing card on Saturday in Shediac for the Canadian super middleweight boxing championship.

The 27-year-old St-Basile native, in just his eighth professional fight after no amateur bouts, captured the Canadian Professional Boxing Federation super middleweight title by knocking out veteran Jonah Arbuckle in the second round Saturday night before a capacity crowd at Louis-J-Robichaud High School in Shediac.

Arbuckle, a 34-year-old Moncton resident and former New Brunswick champion, posted a six-round unanimous decision win over Roy in August in Shediac in their only previous meeting.

"Eric made all of the necessary adjustments and he looked like a champion," Storey said. "I think he's got a great future in the sport because of his power. He's got a powerful punch with world-class power."

Roy has less than two years of boxing experience.

"He has six months to defend his title so we'll be looking for challengers in the new year," Storey said. "He's going to have a lot of big fights in his future."

The promoter praised the work of trainer Hermel Poitras, who prepared Basile for the rematch with Arbuckle.

Meanwhile, the scheduled co-main event between Julien Collette of Bouctouche and Sylvain Roy of St-Basile for the New Brunswick, Maritime and Eastern Canadian heavyweight titles was called off after Collette injured himself during warm-ups in his dressing room before the bout.

Collette will be examined by doctors this week. If he is sidelined for a few months, Roy will be permitted to fight for the Eastern Canadian title against an undetermined opponent.

Shediac's Emile Arsenault (6-1) knocked out Eel River Crossing's Guy Desforges (4-6) for the New Brunswick cruiserweight title. Arsenault is ranked seventh in Canada.

Shediac's Patrick (The Kid) Arsenault improved to 4-0 by knocking out Eel River Crossing's Ron Savoie (6-7-1) in the fifth round. Savoie is a former Canadian super welterweight titleholder.

Cap-Pelé's Kevin Cormier recorded his third straight first-round knockout by flattening Fredericton's Justin Henderson, who was making his professional debut.

Storey expects to promote his next card in February.

WOW!! This years Don Grant Classic had some amazing teams take part!

This is my second year as Official Photographer for the event. The event is put together by amazing people.

This year UNB Fredericton, St Francis Xavier, University of PEI, Acadia University, University of Saskatchewan, and Universite Laval all took part in the tournament.

The event kicked off Friday afternoon at 4pm and finished today at 5pm.

I was on location all weekend capturing all the dunks, dribbles, and fouls. I had Jess with me loading photos between quarters, helping with clients and making sure that everything was ready to go for parents who wanted to order photos. Thanks for all your help Jess.

I love my job! Last Saturday I spent a wonderful hour photographing a little guy by the name of Cameron. A few months back, his mom Stacey contacted me though Inspiration Through Art to see if I would be interested in taking photos of Cameron. I was thrilled that she asked me!

Cameron was diagnosed with PDD-NOS & SOTO'S Syndrome in July 2007. Pervasive Developmental Disorder- Not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS) is a spectrum disorder, so not every child shows the same signs. Two main characteristics of the disorder are difficulties with social interaction skills & communications. Sotos Syndrome (Cerebral gigantism) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by excessive physical growth during the first 2-3 yrs of life. The disorder may be accompanied by mild mental retardation, delayed motor, cognitive, and social development, hypotonia (low muscle tone), and speech impairments which my son has all of the symptoms

.This little guy was so talkative, funny, did most everything I asked him to do for a photo. His mom and dad were great! Some of the nicest people that I have had the pleasure of working with. When I got home Saturday night, and loaded the photos from the session, I was so pleased with how they turned out. I think they show Cameron's true self and character. A bright, loving, carefree little boy!

CIBC Run for the Cure 2011

With my photography, I have the chance to photograph some amazing events. This passed Sunday, I had the wonderful opportunity to be the official photographer for the 2011 CIBC Run for the Cure. I was contacted a few months ago by a very good friend of mine, Cassandra McQueen, asking if I would be interested in doing the photos for the run. What an amazing event to support and to be part of.

Sunday morning arrived overcast and a few sprinkles in the air. I picked up Cass and we headed to Centennial Park to start setting up and getting ready. Teams started line up for team photos, the band was playing, people were buying t shirts and other things to support the run. By the time the run started it was raining really hard but people stuck it out and completed the run!

I have to send out a very special THANK YOU to Cass who was with me all day getting teams ready for their photos, following me from spot to spot in the rain, holding the umbrella over me while shooting phtoos of the runners in the rain, and hold my gear when needed. To Cass and Lisa McDonald ( Organizer (one of several), THANK YOU for asking me to photograph such an amazing event. Looking forward to working with you again next year!

Touchdown Atlantic II

I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING FOOTBALL.....

Having the CFL here for a game is wonderful. Me being on the sidelines for a CFL game is a dream come true for me. This year is my second year being on the sidelines at an CFL event. The Tiger Cats and Stampeders are wonderful teams to work with and photograph. Their cheer squads are very photogenic.

Thursday I was at Rockystone field for the first of 4 Future Stars Football Games. L’Odyssée Olympiens vs. Mathieu Martin Matadors. Then Friday I was at the field for the Highlanders vs Knights and Trojans vs Titans High School games. The Saturday I was at the field for the last of the 4 games which saw The Mounties vs The Huskies. All the teams played their hearts out. In attendance at all of the games were The Outriders, the Stampeders Cheer Squad. They kept the crowed entertained and cheered for all the teams. The Tiger Cats Cheer Squad was at the field on Friday to Cheer on the High School games.

Sunday..... CFL Sunday!! Up early for the tailgate event! At the field for noon and get some photos of the Lux Girls at the Tiger Cats Booth. On the field by 12:30 to check things out. Chat with fellow photographers in the press room until 1:30. Hit the field to do some shoots while the teams are warming up.

2pm GAME TIME!!!

So after 4 full days of football games, press conferences, cheer squads and other events, I have thousands of photos to go through edit, post and send off to clients.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure of photographing Coralee and Rolands wedding. They are the cutest youngest couple that I have ever photographed. Their wedding was a cute little country theme wedding. They got married at their church with their friends and family. Coralee looked wonderful in her dress, Roland handsome and shy.

They chose to do their photos at Coralee's family farm. Old tractors, hay fields, cattle and tons of fun! I had a blast! They were great to work with.

Saturday night, John and I attended Cage Fighting in Moncton! Excellent fights put on by some amazing amateur MMA fighters. I love being the official photographer for this kind of event. The fights are amazing, their crew is great to work with. This was the first time that John has come to an MMA fight with me. He loved sitting ring side meeting some of the fighter and trainers. 47th Annual River Glade International

I didn't realize how much I missed photographing stock car racing until I arrived at Petty Raceway on Friday night! The roar of the cars, the squealing of tires, the crunching of metal when the cars run into something, the roar of the crowds when their favourite drive crosses the finish line....... It was great to be back!

The drives put on a great show for everyone Friday night for the 47th Annual River Glade International. The stands were full. The pits were full and everyone was ready to race. Congrats to all drivers in The 4 Cylinder Class, The Bandoleros and The Sportsman.

I had a hard time picking which photos to edit and post.

But I finally managed to narrow it down to 102 images.

The summer is flying buy so fast! Hard to believe it's almost the end of August. This summer has been so much fun for me. Football, Lux Girls, Weddings, The U2 Concert, Family photos and so much more. I even managed to take a few days off here and there to spend with friends and family. Being that busy makes it hard to stay caught up on things.

This Fall is shaping up to be a busy one! High School Football, Model Shoots, Concerts, Weddings, Modelling Events, and so much more. I am really excited about all the new stuff coming up that I get to photograph.

Lux Girls release their first calendar by HERE Staff

You can be gorgeous and still wakeboard," maintains Rebecca McKenzie, president of Lux Industries, the event catering company best known for its drop-dead beautiful models. Want proof? The firm just released its first annual calendar.

"This calendar isn't about being the pretty girl next to the bike; it's about being the pretty girl ON the bike," McKenzie said.

Moncton photographer and sometime Here contributor Tanya Everett shot the calendar in and around Moncton and Fredericton. Locations included the wharf in Shediac, the Moncton skatepark and the motocross track in Stanley.

"People can't believe that this was not only created here in New Brunswick, but all of the models are from here as well," noted McKenzie.

In late July, Lux launched the calendar at the Riverglade Motocross Nationals in Salisbury. Adam Gould, of the Broken Coast Media Group, DJ'd, while Fredericton clothing line, Greed Industries, debuted their shirts. The latter two businesses teamed up with Lux for the calendar.

"The girls wanted to put together a bright, fun calendar for all their fans showing off what they love to do," McKenzie said.

1st Annual Lux Girls Calendar

WOW!!! What an adventure I have had over the last 21 days! When Rebecca McKenzie asked me to photograph the photos that would appear in the 1st Annual Lux Girls Calendar, I was so excited! Our first shoot took place took place on June 26th :) These photos would be use a little teaser leading up to the release on the calendar on July 31st! We had a few days that we had to rebook a shoot due to rain, but other than that everything went great!

Sunday July 24th was our last day of shooting.. We started a little late but everything went great!

ALL of the Lux Girls are amazing to shoot with. So much fun to photograph. And a pleasure to be around!

The photos are amazing. Each shoot was shot in a different location with a different Lux Girl. Rebecca was right there with every girl making sure they looked their best and that the "themes" went off with out a hitch.

The release of the calendars is this Sunday in Riverglade at the CMRC Motocross Pro National Series . Lux will have a booth there and all the girls will be on site! Wondering what's in the calendar? You'll have to stop by the and find out!

1st Annual Lux Girls Calendar

A weekend full of weddings!

Two weddings in two days. The weather was perfect!

The brides looked stunning and the Grooms were so handsome.

Saturday, I attended Sammy Jo and Corey's Western Theme wedding in Havelock. WOW! Is all I can say! Horse drawn carriage for the bridal party. Sam's dress was stunning, the girls looked great in their pink dresses and cowboy boots. The boys were decked out in jeans, Wrangler Shirts,and black cowboy hats. Outdoor wedding with family and friends seated on hay bales. Even the minister wore a cowboy hat! The food was fabulous! The day could not have been more perfect for them!

Sunday, I headed down to Bouctouche for a cottage backyard/beach wedding. Another wonderful day for a wedding! Erine and Murielle were married in the back yard of a friends cottage next to the Bouctouche River. The weather was perfect. Close family and friends gathered. After the ceremony, we headed for the beach to get a few photos of the wedding party, and the bride and groom together. Murielle's dress was a perfect match for the beach photos!

Congrats to both of these amazing couples!

It was a pleasure attending your weddings and capturing all the wonderful memories!

WOW!! The last two weeks have just zoomed right on by! I've been so busy the last few weeks that I've hardly had time to update my website, blog and Facebook page! June was a wonderful month for me. Things are starting to get so busy, which is great, but it doesn't leave me much time to catch up on my blog.

So its a rainy Saturday, and the first Horse show of the season is in full swing. I was suppose to go to Albert this something to photograph the show, but due to the rain, I decided to stay home. Which gives me time to play with my photo shop programs, my new flash and get caught up on my blog and website.

Ms, Miss & Miss Teen NB & PEI International

Last Sunday, I had the chance to work with 15 amazing girls for the Ms, Miss & Miss Teen NB & PEI International Pageant. This is the second year that I've worked with the pageant. This year we got to shoot in the old Fisherman's Paradise building. WOW!! What an amazing place to shoot photos. Tons of natural light, lots of different backgrounds to use and the booths worked great!

The girls were wonderful to work with and the photos turned out amazing! Tonight is pageant night and it will be great to be there again working with the girls and photographing the event.

Bombs Away Fight Night

Last Saturday, I packed up and headed for Shediac for the "Bombs Away" fight night at the Shediac Fair Grounds. I arrived for the second round of weight ins, then checked into my hotel room to relax for a bit before the fights.

What a night at the fights! Every fight had you sitting on the edge of your seat! I love working with New Generation Boxing" Karen and Dwayne put together amazing shows. The fighters always give me great action to photograph.

Last night I attended the "Bombs Away" Press Conference in Shediac hosted by New Generation Boxing. I've worked with New Generation for almost three years and I've attended most every press conference and there was only one, maybe two that takes the cake to last nights meeting.

Saturdays fights in Shediac are loaded with amazing fighters and it's hard to tell who is going to win and of the fights. But the one that everyone is really going to be attending and wanting to see is "Julien Collette and Anders Frees" WOW is all I can say about the trash talking that was going on last night at the press conference. Friday I attended the "High Voltage" Weigh Ins and Press Conference at Casino NB on behalf of MMA News Canada! Excellent turn out. The crowd loved see the match up for Saturdays fights. Also everyone was very excited to meet Eric "Butterbean" Esch. I've meet a few "super stars" from sporting events over the last few years and I have to say that "Butterbean" is one of the most amazing guys I've meet. The crowds loved he, he posed for photos with everyone that asked, answered everyone's questions. He even posed for a photo with me. (Thanks Karen).

2011 seems to be going by so fast, hard to believe that it is the first week of May already!

My summer is booked full of football games, horse shows, weddings, family photo sessions and somewhere in between all of that I still am working full time for Brunswick News and finding time to spend with family and friends.

Football is where I got my start in photograph a few years back and I am so pleased to be on the sidelines again this year with the Molson Mustangs. 4 time MLF Champions. Also this year, I will be shooting the CFL game in September and all the events leading up to it.

Last week I attended one of many press conferences leading up to the big game again this year.

A truck driver hopped out of the cab of his vehicle on the Trans-Canada Highway yesterday, only to see it burst into flames moments later.

A transport truck caught fire on Highway 2 (Trans-Canada Highway) west of Salisbury yesterday morning, destroying the cab. No one was injured in the incident.

Salisbury Fire Chief David Bannister said the man was heading east just before 7 a.m. and had just passed the Salisbury Big Stop when he sensed a problem.

"He must have smelled smoke and got out to check and started to unhook his load because he was going to drive the truck away from it," says the fire chief. "But before he could do that, the cab had filled with smoke."

The Salisbury Fire Department arrived and had the blaze out within 15 minutes, but the cab was destroyed. The trailer and its load suffered no damage.

Bannister says the fire originated in the truck's electrical system.

The road was only blocked for a short time, when smoke reduced visibility, requiring cars to be held up. Caledonia RCMP Cpl. Marie Beaudry says police officers assisted with the traffic, which was reduced to one lane while the fire was extinguished and while a tow truck worked to remove the burned out truck.

This is how I spent April 14 to 16!

Being a small town photographer, there are not a lot of chances to photograph Canadian Olympic Athletes, (unless you get invited to the Canadian Games), so when I heard that the 2011 Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame Gala Dinner and Induction Ceremony was being held here on April 16th at Casino Moncton. I quickly applied for my press accreditation and received an "yes" answer back with in a few weeks.

Then a few days before the gala, I was asked by Canadian Press to cover several events around Moncton leading up to the gala. What an amazing photography event this was going to be to cover.

April 14 Canadian Olympic Team Rocks the Hall School Based Show.

6000 middle school students packed the Moncton Coliseum to see The Olympic and Paralympic Heroes Tour. David Bissett, Kaillie Humphries, Adam Kreek, Chirs le Bihan, Denny Morrison, Heather Moyse, Tania Vicent, David Eng and Greg Westlake spent two hours answering questions, signing autographs, and entertaining the packed coliseum. Heroes Tour

April 15 Press Conference, Excellence Clinic and Kitchen Party

First thing Monday morning, I was at City Hall for a HOF Press Conference. This gave everyone a chance to see who was being inducted into the Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame. ( Melody Davidson, Larc Lemay, David MacEachern, Curtis Myden and Elvis Stojko.) I've never seen so many camera crews, city officials and such packed into the main lobby of City Hall before. Each inductee was welcomed to The City of Moncton my Mayor George Leblanc.

Then it was off to UdeM for the Excellence Clinic with the athletes. Several local athletes were invited to take part in this two hour clinic. The group was divided into 6 different groups, each spent eight minutes with one of the athletes learning everything from proper form to jumping, strength and more. Then there was a short question and answer time.

Later that evening, The City of Moncton hosted a "Kitchen Party" at the Moncton Coliseum. Hall C in the Coliseum was turned in to the best down home kitchen party every. The Delta catered the event. You have your choice of seafood, steak, and vegetarian. The guest list consisted of Athletes, their families, City Officials, The Major, The Premier, Members of the COC, Times and Transcript Staff and many more. Everyone was entertained by Samantha Robichaud.

April 16th--Meet and Greet at the Moncton Market Gala Dinner

I was up bright and early Saturday morning and heading to town for a meet and greet at the Farmers Market. At 9pm a bus pulled in with 20 Olympic Athletes on it ready to sigh autographs and meet their fans. C103 and XL 96 were on hand broadcasting live during the entire event. People got to see their favourite Canadian Athlete have their photos taken with them and sign autographs.

Then finally it was time for the Gala. The Casino was decked out in everything that had to do with the Olympics. The main hall way leading to the theatre, was lined with several photos of the Olympic Games. The Red Carpet was set up, and there was a spot that you could stand and have your photo taken with an Olympic torch or medal. Shooting photos of everyone along the "Red Carpet" was a lot of fun. Everyone was dressed to the nines and was having a great time. Once everyone was seated, and the gala began, it was amazing to see all the photos of the inductees, hear the stories and watch so many wonderful people be a part of Olympic history. I even had my photo taken with Elvis Stojko (Thank you Ron).

Once everything was over and I was on my way home. It hit me that the past few days, everything that I had seen and photographed, was one of those photography moments that would remain in my mind for every. I would like to thank the COC Committee and Olympic Athletes for everything. You all are amazing to work with and I hope that I get the chance to work with you all again soon.

DJ Adam Analog featuring the Lux Girls

WOW!!! What an amazing three days I had at this year 2011 Radical Speed Sport with Rebecca, Adam and and Lux Girls! These girls know how to put on amazing show!

The Pin Up Show Friday night was amazing! Rebecca did an amazing job with the girls costumes. If you didn't attend the car show this year or if you didn't wonder into the Extreme Zone, you missed an amazing show.

Also during the weekend, DJ Adam Analog and The Lux Girls entertained the crowds in the Extreme Zone with some amazing tunes and amazing show stopping dancing.

Thank you Rebecca, Adam and the lovely Lux Girls for having me shoot photos for your shows all weekend.

The NB Heart Truth Fashion Gala!!

WOW!! What an amazing night I had last night at The NB Heart Truth Fashion Gala!! The designers made wonderful dresses, the models rocked the stage and the audience loved every minute of it. This was such a wonderful event and I am so pleased with how the photos turned out.

I am so proud of my friend and designer Rebecca McKenzie. She made the most amazing show stopping dress for the show. Her model, Paula Morand rocked the runway!

When I got home last night I did a few little edits and got some photos up on Facebook for everyone to see. I will be working on the rest of the show photos over the next few days so check out my website!

Runnin' On Farms

Last Thursday I was reading through Facebook and noticed a posting on a friends wall (Shara Brewer). She had posted that they were in pretty low spirits due to the fact that the barn roof collapsed and they had to temporary closed down the horse rescue. As of last week, they had 6 horses that needed a new home as soon as possible. Totally shocked me and made me sad to see that my friends were trouble.

So after making a few phone calls and posting a notice of Facebook, the ball was rolling and people started sending message about the horses that were in need of homes right away. Friday afternoon, The Times and Transcript, did a phone interview with Shara and sent a photographer out Saturday for photos of the barn and horses. The story was front page news on Mondays TT and was also printed in The Daily Gleaner. Monday afternoon, Shara received a phone call from CTV and Global news asking for interviews about their barn and the rescue.

A little farm history:
"Runnin On Farms is a non-profit horse rescue that has been in operation since 2008; located in the Salisbury area. We take in any breed, age, and temperment of horse that needs a new home or that the owner can no longer care for. In many cases, we travel to pick up the horses in need as many owners have no way to bring them to us. We will work with every horse to test their abilities and temperament before rehoming them with new owners."

I was over to visit Darren (AKA Artie) and Shara on Saturday to see how they were making out and what needed to be done. The roof on the far side of the barn had given way, and with the warm weather and melting snow, the ceiling of the rest of the barn was starting to fill with water and some pieces had already started to fall out. Very unsafe for any horse or person. I gave them a hand moving things out of the barn and into a smaller shed. I took a few photos of the barn and of course lots of photos of the horses. If I had the room and the time, I would have brought a few of the horses home with me.

After all the media cover and internet coverage, Arties and Shara's phone has been ringing off the wall and e mails have been pouring in. 4 out of the 6 horses have been placed in wonderful homes and they think that the other two horses will be finding new homes with in the next few days.

Now that the horses have been taken care of, there is the matter of rebuilding the barn. They are going to need a lot of support from their friends and from the surrounding community. Anything from donations, labour, materials etc would be a wonderful help to them in rebuilding the barn.

I've had the pleasure of working with Artie and Shara for the last few years. They are an amazing couple and are doing a wonderful job with their horses rescue. The farm has been in operation for the last 3 years and has rescued several horses from all over the Maritimes. The NB Heart Truth Fashion Gala

The Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, alumni designers of the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, and well known New Brunswick women are joining together once again to shine the light on women’s heart health at the third annual Heart Truth Fashion Gala. Modeled after the National Heart Truth Fashion Show that takes place each year during LG Fashion week in Toronto, women are stepping forward and sharing the truth to help save women’s lives; heart disease and stroke are the leading cause of death for Canadian women, yet most don’t realize this. It is still widely viewed as a “man’s disease”. We're so pleased to be partnering once again with the designers who hail from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. To have this creative group from the East Coast fashion industry bring the red dress symbol to life on the runway, is going to be inspiring to so many people in our province. The red carpet event takes place on April 2nd at Casino New Brunswick in Moncton. Special guest Jeanne Beker of Fashion television will host and model in the event.

The Heart Truth Fashion Gala is a signature event that brings recognition to the Heart Truth Campaign. The Red Dress is its official symbol. The goal of the Heart and Stroke Foundation’ s the Heart Truth Gala is to empower women to take action and protect their own heart health. The promising news is that through simple and achievable lifestyle changes, women can reduce their risks for heart disease and stroke by as much as 80 per cent. This is truly significant, this is the Heart Truth!

It is my honor and pleasure to be able to photograph this great event this year! From the red carpet to the walk down the runway, I will be capturing every minute of this amazing event. Lux Industries owner Rebecca Mackenzie is designing one of the gowns for the event. I have had the pleasure of working with Rebecca before and am looking forward to seeing her work on the runway.

I had the pleasure Tuesday night to do a photo shoot with Rebecca McKenzie and a few of the Lux Girls.

This shoot is by far the best, most fun shoot I've ever done. The girls were excellent to work with. Rebecca did an amazing job at the costumes and clothing the girls were wearing. She even designed the "Jean Bikini" Andaria is wearing in some of the photos. Professional all the way.

The shoot lasted for about 3 hours and the photos are amazing!

2011 Wedding Gala

Last Sunday I attended my second trade show for 2011, The Wedding Gala Expo hosted by ACS Formals in Riverview. Jessica and I headed in early Sunday morning to the coliseum to get everything set up before the crowd of brides and prom dress shoppers flooded through the doors!

Jessica was a great help with me at my booth this year. She was able to stay at my booth handing out fliers and chatting with people while I was out on the floor taking photos of the fashion show, the live bands and of course the rush of people getting to the racks of gowns.

The day went great! I had a lot of people stop and comment on the photos I had on display, asking questions about wedding photography and grad/prom photography as well. I have a few weddings booked for this fall and some enquirers about doing some weddings in 2012 as well.

Johan and is staff did a great job with the show this year! I had a great time and will be attending the show they are hosting in September of this year at the casino.

January is almost over.....

January is almost over and February is almost here. January, was pretty quiet for photos, which was nice to have a little break and get a few things caught up. But from now until March, I am booked solid with shoots, shows and much more.

Tonight is my first big assignment for 2011! I am freelancing for MMA News Canada and the TT. Tonight is "Tapping Out" at the Casino being hosted by ELite 1 MMA. The main event is going to be amazing! Dan (The Beast) Severn VS Scott Fraser. I am really looking forward to being "cage side" again for both the TT and MMA News Canada.

Then tomorrow, I am working with Facade International! They are holding an open call for Models, Actors and Singers for 2011 at Chez Bernard in Dieppe! I always have so much fun working with the gang from Facade! It will be great to work with some new talent too...

January Thaw Equine Expo

I now have the first trade show of the season under my belt. What a wonderful day yesterday was, meeting new people, making new clients, getting caught up with old friends. My booth was in the middle of the floor right next to the canteen and I had Rick MacLeod (Mountain Range Ranch) on one side of my booth and Terri (Barn Babe Clothing) right behind me.

On Friday night, Terri and I packed up her truck and heading for Fredericton. We were trying to beat the major snow storm that was coming and did pretty good until we hit Oromocto. We stopped for supper and it was horrible driving after that, but we arrived safely around 5:30 to the expo center and got everything ready to go for Saturday. Then it was back to the hotel room for some rest, book work, facebook updating and a good nights sleep.

We were up early Saturday morning, and headed to the expo center to put the final touches on our booths before the doors opened. The morning was a bit slow, but around 11 people were flowing in the doors and things were going great!

The day was great and it was a great way to kick off the 2011 year! I am really looking forward to working with some new people and associations this year. Show season is just a few months away. The January Thaw made over $3500.00 dollars for the Child's Wish Foundation.

Another year has started. Wonder if it will go as fast as 2010? 2010 went by so fast and I was able to photograph some amazing events.

For 2011, I have several bookings already. I'm also planning on attending a few more trade shows as well. The first trade show of the year that I will be attending, will the the January Thaw Equine Review held in Fredericton at the end of the month. I am really looking forward to this event.

I have ordered new prints. I have been working on putting new packages together for photos and events. I have a new sign that is all set and ready to go. I've been hunting the internet for new products to offer my clients. I've also been on the hunt for new horse shows to attend this year as well.

A new year brings so many new things to me and I welcome them with open arms!

Stormy Monday.........

Many of us have wished for a white Christmas and yes, we did have a light dusting of snow just before Christmas Day which was wonderful. Many of us, have also been waiting for that one big snow storm that would close everything down so that we could go sledding, spent more time with family and friends or just have the day off of work. Well, for those of you who wished for the big storm, it has arrived!

When I woke up this morning, I found that at some point in time, the power had gone out and the house was getting a bit chilly. I phoned NB Power only to find out that we might not get our power back until tomorrow. Tomorrow, really? What the heck would I do for 24 hours with out power?

After making a few phone calls to check on family and friends, I curled up in bed with a lot of blankets, both dogs, the cat and a lot of photography and scrapbooking magazines. I was pretty cozy laying there reading, although I didn't have much room to move with two large dogs laying on the bed with me..

After a few hours I called back to NB Power to find that they were telling me now that the power would be restored later tonight, ok well that's not so bad, I'll get a chance to catch up on my sleep. Back to my warm bed I went to finish up my reading. Then another phone call to NB Power and finally good news!! The power will be restored with in a few hours! 8 hours after I woke up with no power it was back on and things were finally getting back to normal.

One thing that I did read in one of my magazines was a short little article about enjoying the simple things in life through your camera. Interesting article and it made me think. The simple things eh? What a wonderful idea for the 2011 season. Simple things. The little things in life that if not caught by a photograph may have been missed or forgotten about all together.

So for 2011 I am taking a new approach in life and in my photography as well. Focus more on the little things before they are missed or forgotten about. Capture the simple things to be remembered for a life time.

Another year is drawing to an end. I have had yet another fantastic year! I have met several new clients, met lots of new friends, had the chance to photograph some once in a life time events and moments.

I would like to thank all of my clients for making my photography so much fun! I will be closed until Jan 4th. 2011 is shaping up to be jam packed full of shoots already!

2010 Moncton Ladies Basketball Classic

I had two wonderful evenings and one fun filled day shooting photos for the 2010 Moncton Ladies Basketball Classic. I had the chance to work with 4 local teams and 3 teams from Nova Scotia and one team from P.E.I. All the teams did a great job fighting it out for the 2010 championship!

Congratulations to the Citadel High Phoenix!

The Phonenix's beat out The Royals 51-48 in a thrilling Championship game!

With a new logo, comes and new blog..... And with a new blog, comes a new website!

Once I had my logo done by the very talented Rachel Keays, I thought that it was time to have a new website design as well. So I contacted Jenn and Scott from Skyla Computers (they designed my original website in Aug 2009) and asked them about changing the color of my site to match my logo. Scott told me that it would be much easier to just design a new site instead to get what I was looking for. So with in a few days, my new website design was up and going. I love it! They did an amazing job!

Weekend Photo Shoots....

This past weekend, I had the chance to photograph one very cute family and a very cute couple!

On Saturday, Vicki, Jason and Allie come up for a few photos. Vicki, Jason and I went to school a few years back, and hadn't seen each other in years! It was nice to get caught up, have a few laughs and shoot a few photos. Allie was a baby the last time I saw her. She is very photogenic.

Then on Sunday, I had new clients come for a photo session. Alex and Sabrina. They both are pretty new to town, and a cute little couple. They wanted to get engagement photos done and a few Christmas photos done as well. They were a pleasure to work with.

AFC, Family Photo Shoots and more......

I love my photography! I get to work and photograph so many amazing people!

Last weekend, I was freelancing for MMA New Canada. Nicole Keryluke contacted me a few months back and ask if I would be interested in doing some freelance work for them. I was thrilled that Nicole contacted me. There was a Amature MMA event in town being hosted my Jason MacKay (AFC) out of Halifax . All but two fighters on the card, had fight before last Saturday night. Most of the fights went to Judges decission. The fighters put on a great show for the crowd.

Before the fights though, I got to spend the afternoon photographing UFC Star Patrick "The Predator" Cote! Patrick was here with Simms Knockdown MMA doing an Autograph signing at Pantorama in Champlain Mall. I got some great photos of Patrick with the fans, Pantorama staff and Simms Knockdown MMA staff and fighters as well. Patrick also attended fight night being in the corner with Simms Knockdown MMA fighters.

Then Sunday I was up bright and early heading for Centennial Park for a photo shoot with Amy Johnson and her family. Sunday morning was a bit chilly but no one seemed to mind the cold for a few family photos. I love working with The Johnson Family! The freshly fallen snow made for a wonderful backdrop.

Sunday afternoon, I was at Simms Knockdown MMA Gym photographing a MMA Seminar being given by Patrick Cote! The afternoon went great! I got some great one on one photos with Patick and the fighters. I'd like to thank Dave from Simms Knockdown MMA and Patrick Cote for inviting me to do photos!

Wednesday night, I was doing some freelance work for The Times and Transcript. I attended a Charity Auction at Royal Oaks to help support The New Brunswick Adoption Association. Local artist donated their work to help raise money for the foundation.

Yesterday I got to photograph Vicki Lee, Jason and Allie. What a great time we had! We started shooting photos out in my front yard, then moved inside for a few studio shots. Vicki, Jason and I all went to school together, and I hadn't seen Allie sense she was a baby. It was a great afternoon of photos and catching up. They yesterday evening I was invited over to the Wheaten Settlement Hall to photograph the Wesselius family as they celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary with family and friends.

Today, I get to work with some new clients. Alex and Sabrina. Alex contacted me a few weeks ago. They are new to town, and want to get some couple/engagement shots done. I am really looking forward to working with them.

The End Of Football Season

Football is my all time favorite sport to shoot. In the last 7 years I have worked with some amazing teams and captured some amazing images. My football season starts in May with the Mustangs, and ends in the fall with high school football.

Saturday I arrived at Rockystone field at 10am to shoot my last two games of the season. The first game didn't start until 1pm, but the teams, coaches, fans and organizers all started to arrive early, so I wanted to make sure that I didn't miss any of the action....

At 1pm, we saw Rothesay high School go head to head with Kennebacasis High school for the 10 Man Division NB High School title.... Congrats to Kennebacasis for winning this years title... :)

Then at 3pm, the game that everyone was waiting for......... The Highlanders vs The Black Cats for the 12 Man Division NB High School Title.....

This game was the most intense game I have watched all season! The Highlanders scored first! 7-0 taking the teams into half time. The Black Cats scored in the 3rd, then the Highlanders answered back with another touch down and convert. Then things got harder, the players were playing their hearts out and in the last few minutes of the game the Black Cats scored, putting the score at 14 Highlanders 13 Black Cats....... And with a run into the end zone, the Black Cats were ahead by two points.... Making the score 14-15........

My heart broke for the Highlanders, I've worked with most of the kids on that team for 6 years, watched them play through peewee, bantam and some the first year of high school..... They worked so hard to get to the final game having a 6-0 regular season. If I know this team as well as I do, they will come back bigger and stronger next year. Hold your heads up high Highlanders! You all did an excellent job!

Black Cats.... Congrats on your win.... The team played excellent!!

Time is going by so fast......

WOW!!! I can't believe that it's been two full weeks sense I last updated my blog! It's been two very busy weeks with work, photography, posting editing, sending and receiving orders, working on CD orders, applying for Media Accreditation for upcoming events, booking shoots, and rebooking shoots due to the weather, football games canceled due to other sports taking over the field. I ordered new studio equipment, sent some gear out to get cleaned, placed an order for a new business sign and started booking booths for upcoming show's that I will be attending, and starting to book for events and shoots for 2011 as well.

Over the last two weeks, I've shot photos of, families, pets, football, did some freelance work, heard about a few leads for some new freelance work, and worked with some amazing clients!

Barn Babe Photo Shoot

Let me ask something?? What do you get when you take 6 wonderful cowgirls, 1 amazing horse, a stable with amazing places to shoot photos and a clothing line just for cowgirls?? You get hours of laughs and amazing photos!!

On Sunday I was on location at Ammon Stables just outside of Moncton for the Barn Babe 2010 photo shoot! For those of you who are wondering what "Barn Babe" is....... It's "......... A Country Girl Clothing Line With Cowgirl Attitude"! Right now, it's hoodies with the Barn Babe logo on it, wonderful sayings on T-Shirts, and PJ bottoms. Barn Babe is a New Brunswick company that is being sold at local horse shows and events by Theresa Sanford from Kenterri Stables. I meet this wonderful lady earlier in the summer at the Havelock Horse show. Then when I saw her at the Whispering Winds Show in Sept and she told me that she was going a photo shoot to promote the clothing line, I jumped at the chance to take part!!

So Sunday was shoot day!! And what a day it was! Ammon Stables is stunning for outdoor western photo shoots. Shoot time was 2pm! And all the girls were ready and willing!! Emily, Crystal, Bekha, Danielle, Tabitha and Kristen were hand picked for the shoot by Theresa!

First shoot of the day, group and single shoots of the girls modeling hand made jewelery! Then it was time for Hoodies and T-Shirts. We shot photos in the round pen, out in the front yard, the hay mound, in the lounge, with "7" who is the most amazing horse, and with the Kenterri Stables truck. I also got to shoot photos of the girls posing with some amazing paints done by a local artist by the name of Randy.

The day was amazing! The girls were excellent! There were lots of laughs! And everyone but a team effort in on getting the shots just right to promote everything!

Live Burn Training with 3 local fire departments....

I've been on accident scenes and fire scenes shooting photos before and I've talked to a few of the fire fighters here and there. I've googled fire photographers and seen some amazing images that they have captured. I got the chance last Saturday to spend the day with the Salisbury, Petty and Havelock Fire Departments shooting photos for one of their training sessions. (Thank you Brad for the invite!)

So off I went at 8:00am Saturday morning to Havelock to meet up with everyone at the local restaurant. I had a coffee and chatted with some of the guys before we headed to the site. A local company had bought a piece of property in Havelock that had an old house on it. They donated the house to the fire department to use for their training.

The morning started off with smoke training. They lit an old barrel in the house on fire and filled the house with smoke. Teams of 4 were given the chance to go through the house in full gear searching for a small stuffed dog that was hidden somewhere in the house. Then it was time for a bit of training on how to cut a hole in the roof.

It was really neat to see how how the gear worked, what everything was for. How they would plan on getting in and out of burning buildings safely. Fire Chief John Magee, from Havelock, answered a lot of my questions about what the departments do, how they work and such.

After lunch, it was time to burn the old house and two other older buildings that were on the property. They lit one side of the living room on fire, then watched from the pourch. There was a team of about 5 fire fighters just outside the living room window watch as things started to catch fire. There was another team on the far side of the living room. Each team would allow the fire to burn and start crawling up the walls and ceilings for a bit before they would spray it with water.

I was just hind the first team in the front pouch taking photos of the fire. I got some amazing images of the teams. The guys were great with helping me get as close as I could safely to get some photos. It wasn't long before they decided to let the house completely burn. Once everyone was out safely, and accounted for, we all stood back and watched. Thick black smoke started pouring out of all the doors and windows. It seemed like only mins and the entire structure was on fire.

Once the house was totally engulfed in flames, all three teams got together for a group photo in front of the building building. I've taken alot of group photos before, but never one like this one!!

I had an amazing day with the departments. I love being able to photograph something new and learning from it. I learned that these local departments are all very close, like a second family to each other. They are all volunteer. They do a lot in the communities where they are from, and in return, the communities return their help by offering support during their annual boot drives or by donating old buildings so they can do their training.

Busy Thanksgiving Weekend....

I have so much to be thankful for this year! I have a two wonderful teenage boys, family, friends, and of course, wonderful clients who provide me with moments I can give back to them that will last a life time! Over the holiday weekend, I got to photography two football games, two family shoots and one fun girlfriend shoot!

Friday night was Home Coming! Home Coming is the biggest high school football game of the year between The Trojans and The Knights. Game time was at 7pm, and just before the teams hit the field, the kids from both schools marched in the gates at Rockystone showing their school spirit. Congrats to the Trojans for winning this years Home Coming Game! Thank you to both teams for inviting me out to their sidelines to take photos!

Then Saturday morning, I was up being and early heading to Centennial Park for photo shoots with The McQueen Family and The Lutes Family. Both families I've worked with several times over the last few years. They are both great friends and clients.

Then Saturday evening, I was on the sidelines for the Jr. Mustang football game against The UNB Red Bombers. It was so cold on Saturday, the wind was so strong.... After the game I hung out with the team at The Goal Post Lounge. Then I headed over to Saxby's to shoot a few bands for Here Magazine.

On Sunday, my cousin Ashley and her best friend Jori, arrived in the morning for a fun fall photo shoot. We spent almost two hours in apple orchards, walking through the woods and at my parents camp shooting photos.

Fast Start to October!

September was busy, and October is turning out to be just as busy.

I ended the month of September by shooting the CFL game (Argos vs Eskimos). AMAZING photography experience for me! It took me a full week to get caught up on all the photos I had taken of high school games, press conferences, cheer camps, practices, the Tail Gate Party and of the game. But for the most part everything is finally posted on my website! I've had several e mail commenting on how great the photos turned out and I've had some asking for copies of the photos as well...

Last weekend, I spent Saturday at Whispering Winds photographing the last show of the season for the MRR Buckle Series. The show was a great success! I had a wonderful day hanging out with all the riders and horses.

Then Sunday morning, I was up bring and early and ready to head to Sussex to photograph The Hornbrook Family. The Hornbrooks youngest son, Ty won a gift certificated that I had given donated to the Cattle Penning Association. The morning went great! I spent two hours taking photos of the family on their farm.

I took the back way home from Sussex and stopped along the way to take a few photos of the fall leaves, changing trees and a few old buildings and such.

Wednesday I spent the evening with Tabitha and Penny MacLeod. We went on a little trail ride. I haven't been on a horse for years. I rode Black, such a good boy he was! It was great just to get out and have a little bit of fun and relaxing time with friends! Can't wait to do it again!

I had a wonderful photo shoot with Monica Melanson at Centennial Park on Thursday. It was a bit windy, but the rain held off until the end of the shoot.

Last night was the annual Home Coming Football game. Trojans vs Knights! AMAZING game! The Trojans won 27-13! I'll be working on getting the photos edited and posted over the next few days!

Today, I have two fall family photos shoots. The first one with The McQueen family, then The Lutes Family! Both family's I have done photos for several times. Love repeat customers! Then it's back to the grid iron with the Jr. Mustangs at 6pm. Then doing a shoot for Here Magazine of a few local bands. Tomorrow and Monday, I have a few more shoots booked. Love shooting fall photos! I'll be working on getting everything posted and ready for viewing in between shoots.

I still have a few evenings open this month for shoots and am now taking bookings for November. I will be posting information the first of November for a special on Christmas photos!

Sidelines for the CFL!

You know, being a "small town" photographer, you always dream and think about how great it would be to shoot for that "CFL" team, that "Ford Model" or that "Celebrity". You think how that one event or person would add so much to your photography resume, open doors to other agency's ect.... You always say "Well if I work hard enough and long enough, it'll happen", then you continue on with what you love to shoot and day dream another day.

When I found out that the CFL was coming to Moncton, I couldn't believe it. Not only because I love football but because I love photographing football. I searched the Touchdown Atlantic site for media contact and sent an e mail off to Mike, who answer back saying no problem he could get me what I needed for the smaller events in Moncton, but I would have to contact the CFL directly for game day accreditation. So I called the CFL head office, and found out who I had to contact and sent off my information. I wasn't 100% sure that I was going to get the pass but I figured that if I didn't at least try, I'd never know (seven years of photographing football here must give me some credit. The next day, I received an e mail back saying that everyone would be contacted with in the next couple of weeks.

So a few weeks passed and I didn't hear anything. Ok, I thought at least I got my accreditation for all the events here. Then the week before everything was suppose to start, I received an e mail back from the CFL stating that I had my accreditation for freelance photography of the game and that more information would follow as to where and when to pick up my pass. I was so excited! My boys were the first to know, then I called my dad, posted it on Facebook and on twitter too! Finally, all those years of working with every football team and association in Moncton paid off! I am shooting photos on the sidelines at the first ever Maritime CFL Football game!

A few days later I was asked to cover the half time "Wendy's Kick" at the game for TSN through Canadian Press. Two more doors open! Wendy's and TSN! I receive my assignments, got all the paper work in order and wait for the media releases for all the practices, events, and such over for the week leading up the the game on the 26th.

The night before the game I could hardly sleep. I was double checking my gear, making sure I didn't forget anything and had everything that I needed.

Game Day finally arrived! I headed into the field. First stop, The Tail Gate Party! Ok so it's 10am and there are hundreds of people there waiting in line for food and beer! A live band was playing and lots of people were wondering around with painted faces showing off their team spirit! Then off to the field.....

I walked through the gate and out on to the sidelines. U de M looked amazing! The field was painted with the Touchdown Atlantic logo, and other sponsor logos. The TV crews were setting up there camera's and doing sound checks. The Argos and Eskimos were slowing taking the field for warm ups. People were starting to take their seats, you could start to see a small sea of green and yellow, blue and white forming in the stands. I did have to take a breath and say " Yep, I'm really here. Standing on the sideline of an official CFL regular season game. Getting ready to photograph the very first CFL game in the Maritimes!"

I wondered for a bit taking crowd and warm up shots. Snapping a few photos of people running around doing last minute things before the game started. Then before I knew it, it was game time! The cheerleaders were lined up and the teams started to come onto the field. A CF-18 fight jet buzzed the field, coin toss was done then the kick off!

The photos I was getting were amazing! Tackles, runs, blocking, celebrations, touchdowns, The Argos on their bench, V.I.P fans enjoying their sideline seats, the crowds cheering for their favorite teams. Everything went great! I managed not to get run over by any players!

Then half time arrived and I went out on the field with the Wendy's and TSN crew to photograph the kick off computation. It was different being in from of over 20,000 people in attandance ( oh and the thousands watching live on TV from their homes), plus having the camera crews to work around and a few other photographers as well. The photos turned out great and were posted on the TSN site and on the Wendy's Kick Off Facebook page shortly after the game.

The second half of the game provided me with more amazing photos. I chatted with other photographers on the sidelines about who they were shooting for, what they were shooting, how long they were into photography, where they were from and more. (Oh, I forgot to mention, I was shooting from the Argo's side of the field.

After the game was done, I went up to the press box over looking the field to get a bit of work done before I headed back home. I had been up to the press box earlier in the day, but it was full of reporters, TV crews and radio people. So I sat there watching the photos from the day load thinking..... " I just photographed a CFL game" Besides the IAAF this is the biggest event I have ever photographed! WOW! I'm sure the reporters up there thought I was crazy sitting there giggling to myself as the photos loaded.

The whole CFL experience was amazing for me. I met so many amazing people in 4 days. I photographed two amazing football teams, the Commissioner of the CFL, the cheerleaders, worked with TSN, captured some once in a life time photos, and made some amazing new contacts.

Now it's time to get all the editing done and posts posted!

One last thing......... Thank you to everyone who has enjoyed my work, supported me over the last few years in photography, invited me out to games and events to shoot photos. To the CFL and the Touchdown Atlantic committee, Thank you for giving this small town football photographer the chance to shoot such an amazing event!

Touchdown Atlantic!

The CFL has arrived in Moncton! And I'm capturing every game and event I can possibility get to!! What an amazing two days I've had attending Eskimo and Argo practices. Both teams are great to work with and so much fun to photograph.

My CFL experience started out Thursday night with a high school football game. Odyssée Olympiens and the Mathieu Martin Matadors was the first of 5 high school football games being played in the "Future Stars" games leading up to the big CFL game on Sunday.

Friday I was up bright and early and heading to Rockystone to get a few photos of the Eskimos and Argos practices. Although it rained all day, I still got some amazing photos and had a great time. Friday night, Rockystone saw 4 more teams hit the field. Highlanders vs Knights and Royals vs Trojans. Both games ever amazing! There were Argos and Eskimos in attendance at each game. The Eskimo Cheer Squad joined the Trojans Cheer Squad to cheer the boys on.

Today, I woke up and it was pour rain.. So I just took my time, got my gear packed and relaxed for a bit. My first stop was HTHS to photograph the Argo and Eskimo cheer squads working with the Knights, Trojans and CSA cheer groups. Then it was off to U de M to photograph the teams practice and a few press conferences with the head coaches. Then off to the Mount A vs St. Mary's game at Rockystone field.

At the moment, I'm sitting at the Goal Post Lounge, doing a little editing, e mailing and relaxing before the Jr Mustang game at 7pm.

The last two days have been amazing. I have gotten to work some of the best football players and coaches in the CFL. I have had the chance to also photograph Mark Cohon, Commissioner of the CFL, and Shawn Graham , New Brunswick Premier, hanging out with the kids during Friday nights games.

I have tons of photos to edit and post. I'm hoping to get the chance to start working on those tomorrow after the big game. Which, I will be shooting photos at from the sidelines. This week has been a milestone for me in my photography. It has open several doors for me with my photography outside of New Brunswick.

September is turning out to be an amazing month! Horse Shows, Cattle Penning, Photo Shoots, work, the kids are back in school, leaves changing colors and cooler days! I love September, it's the beginning of Fall and Fall is my favorite season.

The Fall Photo Session special I have running has really taken off! I have several spots book and only a few left! I have some new clients contacting me as well for shoots. If you are interested in booking a shoot please contact me as soon as possible!

High School Football Season has started! It's great to be back on the side lines again with the kids. So far the games that I have attended have been amazing! Home Coming is a month away and everyone is getting excited and making plans for the big game.

Last Saturday, I spent the day at Broadleaf photographing the last Cattle Penning of the year. It rained, it was cloudy and it was sunny, but it was still a great day and I got some amazing shots! Congrats to everyone that won! Thank you to the Cattle Penning Association for inviting me down for the day!

I've been invited to a few more horse shows for the 2010 season. Looking forward to going and getting some amazing photos of the riders and their horses.

Today, I'm catching up on editing, updating my facebook, blog, and Flickr. Tonight, I'm doing from freelance work for the TT. Tomorrow I'm heading for Albert. It's time for more barrel racing, pole bending and games!

IHW September to Surrender

WOW! What an amazing show the IHW put on Sunday in Riverview. Sunday's show was the 5th Anniversary show for the IHW. The doors opened at 6:30 and by 7 the crew was putting out more seats. In total there was over 300 people at the show, which is an excellent turn out...

From a Royal Rumble, to a 4 way ladder match for the iTitle, to a "I Quit" match, the show was jam packed full of surprises! The biggest attraction to this show was Bushwacker Luke from the WWE! I've worked with the IHW for almost three years and I've loved every minute of it, but I must say, this show was the best that I have ever attended!

I had so many amazing photos from the show, that it was really hard to go through and pick the ones I wanted to post on my website, blog and facebook. My favorite is the one that I sent into the Times and Transcript of XXL clutching the iTitle belt after the 4 way ladder match with JP Simms, Ryan Storm and Chris Cole.

IHW is one of the best sporting events and companies that I have ever worked with. The wrestlers are great to talk to and to photograph. I am very pleased that they ask me back every show to do photos for them. Congrats on all the great shows! Cannot wait to see what the next few years of shows is going to bring.

From September 1st to November 30th I am offering a special photo session. The session can be done in studio or on a location of your choice.

Prices are as follows:

Shelby and Josh

Sunday evening, I had the pleasure of photographing Shelby and Josh. I first met Shelby when she played bantam football two years ago for the Silver Foxes. Shelby contacted me a few weeks ago to see if I would be interested in taking a few photos of her and her boyfriend. So Sunday we meet at Highland Park in the village.

What a cute little couple. Both very photogenic. I had a lot of fun taking photos of them. Josh adores Shelby. Thank you Shelby and Josh, for allowing me to catputre your young love. Cannot wait to work with this couple again.. Maybe this time Fall images in the country?

Cattle Penning

This summer I found a new sport that I love to photograph. Cattle Penning! What a sport to watch and to photograph, you never know what's gonna happen. At the first of the summer, Kylin (a client and friend of mine) invited me up to Sussex to get a few photos of her and a few of her friends taking part in Cattle Penning. So off I went early one Sunday morning. So much fun to watch, so much fun to photograph! I was hooked... The dust was flying, the horses were running full speed chasing a cow or two back to the pen, and the riders were having a blast working their horses in the herd.

I meet a lot of new clients. Made some new friends. Captured some amazing images. Here is my favorite Penning image from last Sunday.

High School Football......

Football is one thing that I could photograph year round and not get tired out it! The Mustangs season ended a few weeks ago, so I had a bit of time to get rested up for the upcoming season of High School Football!

Saturday at 1pm, the Riverview Royals and the Moncton High Purple Knights started the season off with an exhibition game in Riverview. There was a bit of confusion for the newer players, no rosters yet, and a few of the refs thought that they would take part in the game as running backs :).... But either way, both teams did an amazing job for the first game of the season. Riverview did beat Moncton High, but not by much... 28-27!

Over the next few weeks, my Fridays, and a few Saturdays will be filled with high school football. The kids get so excited when I post the photos on Facebook for them to view. Good Luck to all the teams in the league this year!

Country Girl Photo Shoot.......

What do you get when you take two country girls, some camera gear, 5 amazing locations and 2 hours and mix them all together? An AMAZING photo shoot, lots of laughs, and a "Country Girl" themed photo shoot!

I wanted to do a "just for fun" shoot, just something to get out and have fun with no dead lines to meet, no orders to place, nothing business. Just something for fun. So last week, I got a hold of a friend of mine, Tabitha MacLeod and asked her if she'd be interested in going to the Sunflower field with me to shoot a few photos. She was so excited and so was I!

So yesterday we meet in the village and headed out to the Sunflower field. So much fun! Tabitha was up for anything! We used the flowers for back grounds, tried out a few different poses, even got Tabitha to pose with some John Deere farm equipment. So much fun! And so many laughs!

We were having so much fun that we decided to head out and find a few more locations! First stop was an old farm house, then to the old card lock, a wonderful bright red fence, an old barn and the old train tressel. Tabitha is very photogenic and the photos turned out amazing! It was great to just get out have a few laughs and shoot some images.

Thank you for such a great photo shoot Tabitha! Can't wait to work with you again!
